We are hiring an Engineer – Mechanical Designer to strengthen our mechanical design team. If you have a passion for product design, engineering innovation, and working in a fast-paced environment, we invite you to be a part of our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related engineering documentation.
- Develop product designs based on project requirements, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with R&D, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Vendor teams during product development and implementation.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate necessary modifications based on feedback and project requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and continuous product improvement activities.
- Analyze design-related issues and provide effective engineering solutions for manufacturing and field concerns.
- Maintain engineering records, drawing revisions, and document control systems.
- Participate in cost reduction, value engineering, and product optimization initiatives.
- Assist in New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to production.
- Prepare technical specifications, product datasheets, and engineering reports as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting.
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software, particularly Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, machining, die-casting, extrusion, and plastic moulding.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance) and engineering drawing standards.
- Experience in BOM preparation and Engineering Change Management (ECM/ECR/ECO).
