About the Role
The Project Lead implements and manages the STEM program G Block Resources System Strengthening activities at the assigned Mission Education Centre/Schools.
The Project Lead will provide strategic and operational leadership for the School Transformation Programme across 180 government schools in Haryana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring quality implementation of programme interventions focused on Foundational Literacy G Numeracy (FLN), STEM education, teacher capacity building, and school infrastructure strengthening.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning G Implementation
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the School Transformation Programme across 180 government schools.
Develop annual implementation plans, work plans, project timelines, and monitoring frameworks.
Ensure timely achievement of programme milestones, deliverables, and project outcomes.
Monitor implementation quality across FLN, STEM, teacher capacity building, school leadership, and community engagement components.
Ensure compliance with donor commitments, organizational policies, and statutory requirements.
Identify implementation risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Programme Management
Coordinate implementation across Haryana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu to ensure consistency and quality.
Supervise programme teams and monitor project progress using MIS, dashboards, field visits, and review meetings.
Lead data analysis, documentation, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Ensure timely documentation of case studies, impact stories, photographs, videos, and programme evidence.
Facilitate integration of FLN and STEM interventions within government school systems.
Government G Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong partnerships with State Education Departments, District Education Offices, BRCs, CRCs, and school leadership.
Represent the organization in government meetings, donor reviews, and programme consultations.
Coordinate with implementation partners, knowledge partners, vendors, and technical agencies.
Strengthen School Management Committees (SMCs) and community participation to improve programme ownership and sustainability.
Support donor visits, monitoring missions, employee engagement activities, and media interactions.
Capacity Building G Technical Support
Plan and oversee teacher training programmes on FLN, STEM, experiential learning, and classroom pedagogy.
Mentor programme teams to ensure effective classroom implementation and adherence to quality standards.
Promote innovation and adoption of best practices in school transformation.
Monitoring, Evaluation G Learning
Establish systems to monitor programme quality, learning outcomes, attendance, and implementation indicators.
Review assessment data and recommend corrective actions to improve programme performance.
Coordinate baseline, and end line assessments in collaboration with MEAL team
Promote documentation of learnings and continuous programme improvement.
Finance G Resource Management
Prepare implementation budgets and monitor expenditure against approved allocations.
Coordinate procurement and deployment of educational resources, STEM equipment, and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, procurement processes, and donor requirements.
Monitor utilization of project resources for cost-effective implementation.
Organizational Contributions
Work closely with programme, finance, procurement, HR, communications, and MEAL teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Strengthen programme visibility through quality documentation and communication.
Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.
Travel extensively across project locations as required.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in managing large-scale education or development programmes.
Demonstrated experience in government school partnerships and multi-state programme implementation.
Strong understanding of Foundational Literacy G Numeracy (FLN), STEM education, teacher professional development, and school enhancement.
Excellent project planning, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in donor reporting, programme monitoring, documentation, and MIS management.
Strong financial planning, budgeting, and resource management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Postgraduate degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Management, or a related discipline.
Additional qualifications or certifications in Education, Project Management, or Monitoring G Evaluation will be an added advantage.
Desirable Attributes
Strong understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), NIPUN Bharat Mission, and experiential STEM education.
Experience working with State Education Departments and large CSR-funded education programmes.
Knowledge of education technology, and school improvement frameworks.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
