A Marine Refrigeration Engineer / Cold Room Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration, cold room, freezer room, and HVAC systems onboard ships. The role includes monitoring temperatures and system performance, inspecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and refrigerant lines, detecting and repairing faults, maintaining proper storage conditions for food provisions and temperature-sensitive cargo, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, maintaining technical records and temperature logs, ensuring compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations, managing spare parts, and coordinating with the engineering team to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment on board.
