Job Summary
The QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting injection molded plastic components to ensure they meet customer specifications and company quality standards. The role includes visual and dimensional inspection, maintaining inspection records, and supporting the production team in delivering defect-free products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspection of molded plastic parts for defects such as flash, sink marks, short shots, burn marks, scratches, and color variation.
- Carry out dimensional inspection using basic measuring instruments such as
- Vernier calipers, height gauges, and gauges.
Educational Qualification
- Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming products.
- Inform the production supervisor and QC senior about any quality issues.
- Follow inspection standards, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Assist in first-piece approval and in-process inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow 5S and safety practices in the inspection area.
- Learn and follow ISO quality procedures and company standards.
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Plastic, Polymer, Production Engineering, or any relevant technical discipline.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection.
- Understanding of engineering drawings is an added advantage.
- Willingness to learn measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Good observation and attention to detail.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and MS Word).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of injection molding processes.
- Knowledge of plastic part defects is an advantage but not mandatory.
