we would like to immediately recruit a 'Piping Engineer' to support our ongoing project.
The candidate shall be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute piping installation activities as per approved drawings and project schedules.
2. Supervise fabrication, fit-up, alignment, and installation of piping systems onboard vessels or in yard projects.
3. Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ASTM, ASME, and class rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, IRS).
4. Coordinate with design, production, QA/QC, and client representatives for smooth project execution.
5. Review isometric drawings, P&IDs, and GA drawings before execution.
6. Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly work reports.
7. Conduct inspections, pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of piping systems.
8. Identify and resolve technical issues during installation.
9. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
10. Manage subcontractors and workforce efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
Minimum 3–8 years of experience in piping installation in shipbuilding projects.
Hands-on experience with materials such as MS, CS, SS, Cu-Ni, and GRE piping systems.
Familiarity with marine systems (ballast, bilge, fire line, cooling water, fuel oil, etc.).
Knowledge of welding procedures, NDT requirements, and hydro testing.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Skills Required:Strong project execution and supervision skillsGood knowledge of piping standards and codesProblem-solving and troubleshooting abilityEffective communication and coordination skillsProficiency in MS Office and basic engineering software
WORK MODE: HYBRID
Base Location: Kochi, Kerala
Project Location: Uduppi, Karnataka
Once project gets over, you will be back to base location.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
