Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Substation Design Lead to oversee the design and engineering of high-voltage substation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in substation engineering and proven experience in managing international clients and multi-disciplinary teams across global projects.
- Lead the design and engineering of HV/MV substations (up to 765kV), including layout, protection & control, grounding, and auxiliary systems.
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.).
- Coordinate with global clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and client satisfaction.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the design lifecycle.
- Prepare proposals, technical reports, and presentations for clients and management.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in substation design.
- Proven experience in handling international clients and working on global projects.
- Strong knowledge of substation components, protection systems, and control philosophies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
