Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install solar panels, inverters, and related electrical components on residential, commercial, or industrial properties.
- System Testing: Test the solar energy systems to ensure they are working efficiently and meet safety standards.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on solar systems, identifying any malfunctioning components and repairing or replacing them as needed.
- Electrical Wiring: Install and connect wiring and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance using monitoring software and diagnostic tools, addressing any performance issues promptly.
- Inspection and Compliance: Inspect existing systems to ensure they comply with regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding system performance, maintenance schedules, and technical issues.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols when working on rooftops or with electrical systems, ensuring the safety of self, team members, and property.kills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in solar energy or electrical systems preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing solar power systems.
- Experience working with electrical systems or renewable energy technologies.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy technologies, and system components.
- Ability to use testing equipment and diagnostic tools to assess solar systems.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy solar panels and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Work Environment:
- Typically works outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- May require early mornings, weekends, and travel to job sites.
- Work may involve physical labor, including lifting heavy equipment and climbing ladders.
