Job Description – CAD Incharge (Seamless Garmenting Unit)
Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

Position Summary
The CAD Incharge will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing seamless garment programs using specialized CAD software and seamless knitting technologies. The role involves translating design concepts into machine-ready programs, ensuring product feasibility, maintaining technical accuracy, and supporting bulk production through efficient pattern and program development.
Key Responsibilities
CAD & Program Development
- Develop and modify CAD programs for seamless garments such as activewear, innerwear, shapewear, and athleisure products.
- Convert design briefs, sketches, and tech packs into machine-compatible knitting programs.
- Create size sets, grading specifications, and pattern engineering for seamless garments.
- Optimize knitting structures, stitch density, and yarn consumption for cost and quality efficiency.
- Maintain accurate CAD libraries, design archives, and technical documentation.
Product Development
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Sampling, and Production teams to develop new products.
- Assess design feasibility and recommend suitable knitting structures and construction techniques.
- Support prototype development, sample corrections, and product improvements.
- Ensure seamless products meet fit, comfort, functionality, and aesthetic requirements.
Production Support
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot machine and program-related issues.
- Analyze defects and implement corrective actions in CAD programs.
- Support smooth style changeovers and machine setup activities.
- Monitor production trials and ensure successful bulk implementation.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Drive improvements in productivity, yarn utilization, and machine efficiency.
- Implement best practices in CAD programming and seamless garment engineering.
- Participate in process optimization and innovation projects.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor CAD operators and programmers.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion of development activities.
- Conduct skill development and technical training for team members.
Key Requirements
Education
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, Garment Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in seamless garment manufacturing.
- Minimum 3 years in a CAD programming or CAD Incharge role within a seamless garmenting environment.
- Experience with Santoni, Lonati, Matec, or similar seamless knitting technology preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in seamless garment CAD software and machine programming.
- Strong understanding of seamless knitting structures, garment construction, and pattern engineering.
- Knowledge of yarn behavior, fabric properties, and garment fit.
- Experience in sample development, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and technical documentation.
