Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Development Executive to join our Product Development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the textile industry with hands-on experience in woven garments or home textiles. This role involves managing product development activities from sample development through production, while coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and production units to ensure timely execution, quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and manage end-to-end product development activities for woven garments and home textile products.
· Handle sample development activities and ensure timely execution in line with customer specifications and development timelines.
· Work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Production, Quality, and Sourcing teams to support smooth product development and commercialization.
· Coordinate with suppliers and production units for material sourcing, sample execution, and development follow-ups.
· Monitor product specifications, raw material requirements, development progress, and delivery timelines.
· Support bulk merchandising activities and coordinate order execution whenever required.
· Maintain development records, approvals, sample documentation, and other related product development reports.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, cost targets, and delivery commitments are achieved.
· Assist in product costing, cost estimation, and development budgeting wherever applicable.
· Monitor development milestones and proactively resolve issues to ensure on-time completion of product development activities.
Qualification:
· Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Apparel Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
· 3–7 years of experience in the Textile Industry, preferably in Woven Garments or Home Textiles.
· Hands-on experience in product development, sample development, and/or bulk merchandising is mandatory.
· Experience in handling the complete product development lifecycle from sampling to production will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
· Strong understanding of product development processes and textile manufacturing.
· Good knowledge of woven garments and home textile products.
· Experience in sample development, production coordination, and material sourcing.
· Basic understanding of costing processes and product cost estimation.
· Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
· Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other basic computer applications.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple development activities.
· Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Candidate Profile
· Exposure to buyer communication and product development coordination.
· Good understanding of fabric, trims, garment, and home textile manufacturing processes.
· Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders.
· Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple development projects simultaneously.
· Strong commitment to quality, cost optimization, and meeting customer deadlines.
