Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines according to production schedules.
- Set up workpieces, fixtures, cutting tools, and machine offsets.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and process sheets.
- Perform milling, drilling, tapping, and boring operations with required accuracy.
- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
- Monitor tool wear and replace cutting tools when required.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Record production data and inspection results.
- Report machine abnormalities, tool breakage, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5S workplace practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve productivity.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of VMC machine operation and setup.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code/M-code).
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, and speeds.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–15years of experience in VMC operation.
- Experience in mould, die, tooling, or precision machining is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical training may also be considered.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹33,855.64 per month
