We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic, distributed development team. In this fully remote role, you will gain hands-on, real-world experience working alongside senior engineers on impactful projects. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Assist in designing, writing, and maintaining clean, efficient, and well-documented code for our core applications and internal tools.
- Remote Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional remote teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, using asynchronous and synchronous communication tools to translate requirements into deliverable features.
- Testing & Debugging: Participate in virtual code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot software issues to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Agile Participation: Actively engage in daily virtual stand-ups, sprint planning, and team meetings within an Agile software development environment.
- Continuous Learning: Research and investigate new technologies, tools, and industry best practices, applying them to current projects to improve overall system architecture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing (or recently graduated with) a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Core Fundamentals: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or C#).
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for thriving in a remote environment and keeping distributed teammates aligned.
- Initiative: A self-starter attitude with strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git/GitHub.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, React, Node.js) or database management (SQL, NoSQL).
- Prior experience with personal coding projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) or continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
