Hotel Rio Benaras is looking for a skilled Chef de Partie (Continental) to join our culinary team in Varanasi. You will run a specific section of our kitchen, focusing on European and Mediterranean cuisine, while maintaining high food quality, hygiene standards, and team efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesSection Management & Food Production
- Execute Menu: Prepare high-quality Continental dishes, including starters, main courses, pastas, grills, and classic sauces.
- Section Control: Manage the daily operations of the Continental section, ensuring smooth service during peak hours.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all food leaves the kitchen meeting established standards of taste, temperature, and visual presentation.
- Mise en Place: Oversee daily prep work to prevent delays during active buffet or a la carte services.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels for your section and raise indents for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Minimize Waste: Exercise strict portion control and minimize food spoilage to keep food costs in check.
- Correct Storage: Ensure all ingredients are properly labeled, stored, and rotated using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
Kitchen Safety & Leadership
- Hygiene Standards: Enforce strict kitchen cleanliness, food safety protocols, and personal hygiene standards.
- Team Supervision: Guide, train, and supervise Commis chefs and kitchen helpers assigned to your station.
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to manage daily kitchen requirements.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in a star hotel or premium restaurant, with a clear focus on Continental cuisine.
- Technical Skills: Strong command over classical European cooking methods, knife skills, and plating techniques.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management is highly preferred.
- Key Traits: Ability to work well under pressure, strong teamwork capabilities, and a passion for food quality.
