Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, hardware, boards, laminates, fittings, and other materials received for production.
- Conduct quality checks at different stages of modular furniture manufacturing.
- Verify dimensions, measurements, cutting, edge banding, drilling, assembly, and finishing as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved designs, drawings, samples, and client requirements.
- Identify defects, deviations, damages, and workmanship issues during production.
- Coordinate with the Production and Design teams to rectify quality issues.
- Conduct final inspection of completed modular furniture before dispatch.
- Prepare and maintain QC inspection reports, defect reports, and quality checklists.
- Monitor recurring defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, joint finishing, hardware installation, and overall product appearance.
- Check the quality and accuracy of completed modules before packing and dispatch.
- Ensure proper handling, packing, and protection of finished products to avoid damage during transportation.
- Maintain records of rejected, reworked, and approved items.
- Coordinate with supervisors and workers to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce material wastage, rework, and production defects.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and production procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Technology, Mechanical, Civil, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in QC/QA, modular furniture, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
- Knowledge of materials such as MDF, plywood, particle board, laminates, veneers, edge bands, and modular hardware.
- Good knowledge of measurement and inspection procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and documentation.
- Ability to identify quality issues and ensure timely rectification.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Reduction in production defects and rework.
- Accuracy of measurements and dimensions.
- Percentage of products approved during final inspection.
- Reduction in material wastage due to quality issues.
- Timely identification and rectification of defects.
- Compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Quality complaints and rejection rate.
- Proper maintenance of QC records and reports
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
