Job title – Senior Grant Manager
Location – Mumbai with some travels to field locations
Job Summary
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about addressing developmental issues and eager to play a key role in supporting our mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and management of grant-supported programs across varied thematic areas. This role will also focus on strengthening donor relationships, ensuring that grant programs run efficiently, and streamlining overall grant administration.
The person has to be highly motivated and detail-oriented person must have some background on reporting on Enviornment / agriculture/ water.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Monitoring
- Develop annual implementation plans and actively monitor projects on a regular basis.
- Track project milestones, utilisation, and ensure timely delivery within scheduled timelines.
- Manage documentation and deadlines for each project.
Collaboration & Program Management
- Work closely with the project implementation team to ensure programs are running smoothly.
- Partner with Technical Leads to build a strong understanding of the organisation’s programs and initiatives.
- Use program insights to strengthen proposal writing, problem solving, and donor communication.
Donor Engagement & Reporting
- Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with donors, ensuring consistent visibility of the organisation’s work and impact.
- Ensure donors are consistently updated on the impact of their investments through field visits, reports, and other communication channels.
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and timely reports aligned with donor expectations and guidelines.
- Address donor queries promptly and effectively.
- Develop proposals for new and ongoing partnerships, drawing on insights to enhance program design and scale impact.
Proposal Development & Strategic Growth
- Support with proposal development for a potential donor.
- Collaborate with teams to understand program nuances and translate them into effective communication for external stakeholders.
- Strengthen donor engagement strategies to sustain and grow partnerships.
Key competencies
· Experience of working in the development sector.
· People with a background in social science and other allied fields, with demonstrable experience in program implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
· Good working knowledge of social development programs.
· Proficient in spoken and written English with clear, concise and persuasive. communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficient in basic computer skills- MS word, Excel and MS PowerPoint.
· Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
· Ability to meet the tight deadlines and someone who loves to work in team.
· Ability to work independently in a fast- paced dynamic environment.
· Strong problem solving skills to address donor concerns and queries effectively.
· Able to influence without power.
· Encourages and has a learning mindset.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
