- The specialist works closely with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and leadership) to define requirements, design user-centric visual experiences, and ensure consistent and effective communication of manufacturing performance.
- Create material training - documentation, how-tos, lessons learned, whitepapers, user guide on how to use the artifacts that will be delivered.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Visualization Design & Development:

- Develop real-time and historical visualizations for:
- Production KPIs (OEE, throughput, downtime)
- Quality metrics (scrap, defects, yield)
- Maintenance insights (MTBF, MTTR, predictive alerts)
- Energy and sustainability metrics
- Alerts & Monitoring: actionable, contexttual, and aligned with operational workflow
- Create reusable visualization templates and standards across plants
Requirements Gathering & UX Design:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into:
- User stories, Wireframes, and Dashboard layouts
- Conduct workshops with plant personnel (operators, supervisors, engineers)
- Ensure dashboards are role-based (operator vs supervisor vs executive views)
Data Interpretation & Contextualization:
- Work with IT/OT teams to understand:
- Data models (UNS, MQTT topics, time-series data)
- Data quality and availability
- Translate raw industrial data into meaningful KPIs and business insights
- Define or, if already defined, apply calculation logic for KPIs (e.g., OEE components, downtime classification)
Standardization & Governance:
- Apply visualization standards:
- Color schemes (e.g., ISA-101 or company standards)
- Promote consistency across dashboards and sites
- Maintain documentation for dashboards and metrics
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze dashboard usage and user feedback
