About your role and impact:
As a Power Electronics- Design Specialist for Electrification division,
Location : Electronic city , Bangalore
- Develop new products- DC/DC Converters & DC/AC Inverters and variants through the product lifecycle
- Specify engineering requirements and support creating test plans and generate test reports
- Perform schematic capture, component selection and layout using tools like Orcad & Cadence Allegro and support on PCBs design
- Work with cross-functional teams to define board architecture, stack-up, and routing strategies
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance
- Validate board performance through lab testing, debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Hands-on bring up and performance characterization of hardware circuits, PCBs and energy system hardware (relays, power meters, power converters, communications devices, etc)
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards and participate in certification processes
- Support manufacturing of electronic design hardware, electrical assemblies and PCBAs for prototype products
- You will contribute towards creating detailed design documentation: design specs, test procedures, DFMEA, validation reports
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 10-12 years’ experience in power electronics, handling high power Converters/Inverters design and development, ideally in senior or specialist roles.
- Developing electronic products from the concept stage to market launch in a commercial environment
- Extensive knowledge of circuit schematic, PCB layout and simulation tools
- Practical experience of in-depth bench testing, V&V testing, and debugging of hardware designs
- Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skillset in field quality, Failure and Root cause analysis
Significant experience in one or more of these areas:
- Good in Power Electronics circuits which includes converter and inverter topologies
- Good understanding of Product validation, compliance and electrical grid standards
- Field Quality Improvement and Cost reduction through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE)
Additional Desired Skills
- Experience with Energy system product development experience
- Experience with medium voltage (up to 100kV) and high current circuits, PCBs, and components
- Familiarity with power electronics circuits/designs and devices
- Experience using OrCAD for schematic capture and Cadence Allegro for PCB layout
- Focusing on providing solutions for design challenges
