Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, confident, well-presented, and highly engaging English Ambiance Head who will be responsible for developing an English-speaking and socially confident culture among students.
This is not a conventional English teaching role. The focus will be on creating an informal English ambiance across the student community—encouraging students to naturally communicate in English, develop confident body language, improve their personal presentation, adopt appropriate social etiquette, and become comfortable interacting with peers, teachers, visitors, and the wider community.
The ideal candidate should be someone whom students look up to and naturally want to interact with—a person who can influence students through everyday interaction, mentoring, example, and engaging activities rather than classroom teaching alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and promote an English-speaking culture across the student community, particularly in informal and everyday interactions.
- Encourage students to communicate naturally in English during breaks, activities, assemblies, events, clubs, campus interactions, and other informal settings.
- Help students develop confidence in speaking, expressing opinions, initiating conversations, and interacting with others.
- Work on students' overall personal presentation, including grooming, dressing appropriately, posture, body language, and the way they carry themselves.
- Develop students' understanding of social etiquette, manners, courtesy, introductions, greetings, conversation etiquette, and appropriate behaviour.
- Help students learn how to speak confidently and appropriately with peers, teachers, guests, parents, and professionals.
- Conduct informal conversation circles, social interaction activities, role plays, storytelling, debates, discussions, and personality-building exercises.
- Introduce students to real-world conversational situations such as introducing themselves, meeting new people, making small talk, asking questions, expressing disagreement politely, and participating in group conversations.
- Develop students' voice modulation, pronunciation, articulation, vocabulary, conversational confidence, and overall speaking presence.
- Encourage students to move beyond textbook English and develop natural, contemporary, and socially appropriate communication skills.
- Act as a role model for students in communication, grooming, confidence, etiquette, and interpersonal behaviour.
- Spend meaningful time interacting with students outside conventional classroom settings and identify areas where individual students require support.
- Mentor students who are shy, hesitant, socially withdrawn, or uncomfortable communicating in English.
- Organize English-speaking challenges, conversation clubs, social interaction activities, personality-development sessions, and student engagement programmes.
- Work with teachers and school leadership to create a consistent culture of confidence, courtesy, communication, and positive student behaviour.
- Develop initiatives that make speaking English feel natural and aspirational rather than forced or examination-oriented.
- Guide students on appropriate communication in formal and informal situations, including social, academic, and professional environments.
- Help students develop the confidence to present themselves positively and make a strong first impression.
- Regularly observe student interactions and provide constructive, encouraging feedback on communication, behaviour, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Can make students feel comfortable enough to speak, experiment, make mistakes, and improve.
- Has the ability to transform communication development into an engaging campus culture rather than another academic subject.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communication, Psychology, Education, Hospitality, Mass Communication, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in English communication, personality development, grooming, soft-skills training, hospitality, student engagement, or a similar role.
- Experience working with school or college students will be an advantage.
- Candidates from premium schools, colleges, hospitality, corporate training, finishing schools, or personality-development backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in conducting interactive workshops, conversation clubs, personality-development programmes, or youth engagement activities will be preferred.
