Job Summary
4-8 years of experience in Linux Administration in a large Datacenter and Cloud environments (GCP)
Excellent knowledge in managing RHEL, Debian/ Centos/ Ubuntu Operating Systems
Knowledge of automation via Ansible
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in production, development, and testing environments.
Perform Linux server administration activities including patching, upgrades, package management, security hardening, and performance tuning.
Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for configuration management, server provisioning, deployment automation, and operational tasks.
Create and maintain Shell Scripts (Bash/Korn Shell) to automate system administration, monitoring, backup, and maintenance activities.
Administer and support VMware infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, VM provisioning, cloning, migration, and resource management.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization measures to ensure system stability and availability.
Troubleshoot Linux OS, networking, storage, and application-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
Manage user accounts, permissions, ACLs, filesystem administration, LVM, and process management.
Configure and support Linux services such as SSH, NFS, DNS, FTP, Apache, and Cron jobs.
Ensure compliance with security standards, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening practices.
Collaborate with application, database, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for deployments and environment support.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, operational procedures, and system reports.
Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotation when required.
Skill Requirements
Primary - RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) OS, Scripting ( Ansible ), GCP cloud
Secondary - Debian/ Centos/ Ubuntu OS
Other Requirements
Cloud Knowledge of AZURE / AWS
