Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills: Must have excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner to assist customers.
- Attention to Detail: Must ensure accurate orders, correct pricing, and careful handling of bakery items.
- Sales Experience: Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash transactions, use point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: A strong sense of maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting Guests: Welcoming guests and offering assistance as they browse or make purchases.
- Product Recommendations: Suggesting bakery items based on guest preferences and answering questions about ingredients and flavors.
- Processing Transactions: Handling payments through cash, card, or digital methods and using POS systems.
- Packaging Orders: Ensuring baked goods are packaged carefully to maintain their presentation and freshness.
- Stocking and Displaying Products: Keeping the display area tidy, stocked, and visually appealing.
- Taking Orders: Managing phone, online, and in-person orders, including custom cake or large event requests.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Regularly cleaning the sales area, counter, and displays to meet hygiene standards.
- Upselling: Offering promotions or suggesting additional products to enhance sales.
- Managing Inventory: Keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
- Handling Complaints: Addressing any customer concerns or issues in a polite and professional manner.
