This position is part of the Product Engineering team responsible for developing Low Voltage Power Distribution solutions for automotive on‑road and off‑road vehicle applications. The role focuses on electrical hardware design and product engineering of Power Distribution Units (PDUs), fuse holders, legacy fuse panels, and circuit breakers. The incumbent will play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI), supporting hardware design activities from concept development through detailed design, verification, and validation. In addition, the role supports current product engineering by resolving of field and manufacturing plant issues reported from global locations, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions. The position also contributes to cost‑out initiatives by generating and maintaining a robust idea bank, evaluating and prioritizing cost‑reduction opportunities, and executing high‑impact initiatives while ensuring compliance with performance, quality, and reliability requirements. In this role, the engineer will collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and cross‑functional teams—including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management—to deliver project milestones and customer requirements.

- Should be able to work on digital Communication protocols like CAN, RS232, SPI, I2C etc. Should handle hardware system design including end to end product development involving complex analog & digital circuit design with 16/32 /64 bit microcontrollers based designs, development, launch support. Interface with Business Unit (BU) engineers to drive strong business cases for new commercial applications
- Collaborate with mechanical, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully develop and validate the designs up to and including certification and product launch. Utilizes the support of model-based development processes, automated testing, verification & validation tools. Should be able to perform validation of products like circuit breakers, fuse holders, PDUs etc.
