Job Title: Purchase Assistant

Job Summary:
The Purchase Assistant will manage procurement activities for real estate and construction projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, contractor services, and equipment at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. The role involves close coordination with project, engineering, and finance teams to support smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle procurement of construction materials such as cement, steel, tiles, electricals, plumbing items, and finishing materials
- Source and onboard vendors, contractors, and service providers for real estate projects
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and payment terms to optimize project costs
- Prepare and evaluate RFQs (Request for Quotations) and comparative statements
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for material planning and delivery schedules
- Ensure timely procurement aligned with project timelines to avoid delays
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and local vendors
- Track market price trends of construction materials and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Verify purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans in coordination with accounts
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project budgets
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply or quality issues
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Civil Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (MBA preferred)
- 5–8 years of procurement experience in real estate or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and vendor networks (especially in Surat/Gujarat)
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
- Good understanding of project execution cycles in real estate
- Strong analytical and cost-control mindset
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with real estate developers or construction companies
- Exposure to residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
