Role Overview
As a Daycare Caregiver, you will create a warm, secure, and engaging environment for children beyond school hours. You will be responsible for their daily care, emotional well-being, hygiene, safety, and comfort while working closely with teachers to ensure a seamless experience for every child.
This role is ideal for someone who comes from a nursing or healthcare background and dreams of building a long-term career in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of every child at all times.
- Assist children with meals, toileting, diaper changes, handwashing, and rest routines.
- Comfort and support children emotionally, helping them feel secure and cared for.
- Observe children’s health and behaviour, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly daycare environment.
- Engage children through storytelling, music, free play, art, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate interactions.
- Support teachers during classroom transitions and activities whenever required.
- Build trusting and respectful relationships with parents through warm daily interactions.
- Follow all school health, safety, child protection, and emergency protocols.
- Foster independence, kindness, and positive social behaviour among children.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nursing qualification (GNM, ANM, B.Sc. Nursing) or relevant healthcare background preferred.
- Candidates with experience in childcare, hospitals, pediatric care, daycare centres, or preschools are encouraged to apply.
- A genuine passion for caring for young children.
- Aspiration to grow into an Early Childhood Educator or Preschool Teacher.
- Basic knowledge of child health, hygiene, nutrition, and first aid.
- Good communication skills in Hindi; basic English is an advantage.
