PRODUCTION MANAGER – KALYANI FACILITY
- Openings: 1 | Location: Kalyani Facility (Neelachal Organisation), WB | 6 days/week
- Compensation: ₹30,000–45,000/month (₹3.6–5.4 LPA) based on experience
- Experience: 3–5 years production oversight in particle board/plywood/CNC machining. Factory-floor experience mandatory; remote/desk-only roles will be rejected.
Responsibilities
- Manage Ansh's 3,000 boards/month production schedule at Kalyani facility; coordinate with Neelachal ops and Ansh production head (Dipankar Mainan).
- Daily QA inspections: particle board thickness, surface finish, edge quality, dimensions. Log deviations and escalate corrective actions.
- Track per-board cost actuals (raw material, machining, waste) vs. budget; identify and report variances with recommendations.
- Manage raw material supply inbound to Kalyani; finished goods logistics outbound to Sonanpur warehouse.
- Maintain job-work compliance: GST reverse-charge documentation, waste certificates, supplier reconciliation with accounts (Ashok Karmokar).
- Weekly production reports: output, quality incidents, cost actuals, inventory balance, blockers.
- Weekly syncs with Neelachal facility manager; monthly syncs with Ansh sales/fulfillment on delivery timelines.
- Escalate facility issues (machine downtime, labor shortages, quality trends) to Ansh leadership within 48 hours.
Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years hands-on production management in particle board, plywood, or CNC machining operations.
- Deep knowledge of particle board grades, edge banding, finishing, CNC constraints.
- Comfortable with cutting lists, nesting files (NAADI ERP or similar).
- Excel proficiency: inventory tracking, cost monitoring, production reporting.
- GST job-work structure understanding (reverse charge, gate passes, documentation).
- English + Bengali verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- BIS QCO certification or previous ISO 9001/BIS compliance experience.
- Exposure to NAADI ERP or similar nesting software.
- MSME/job-work manufacturing background.
- Cost accounting or production planning experience.
Mandatory Screening Test
- 30-minute test at interview: Given a job-work order (e.g., 2,500 boards, mixed sizes, edge-band specs, hardware BOMs), produce:
- Daily production run-rate estimate
- Raw material and hardware requirement breakdown
- Likely completion date
- 3 key risks/blockers
- Non-negotiable pass/fail.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time delivery: ≥95% of scheduled production by committed date.
- Quality: ≤2% rejection rate (internal + customer inspections).
- Cost performance: Variance to budget ≤5% on per-board cost.
- Compliance: 100% job-work documentation accuracy; zero GST disputes.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to Gautam Tahlani (Founder/MD).
Coordinates (no direct authority) with Neelachal Facility Manager.
Pay: ₹18,302.99 - ₹50,000.00 per month
