Job SummaryThe Senior Ayurvedic Physician / MD Ayurveda Consultant is responsible for providing expert holistic healthcare, diagnosing complex conditions using classical Ayurvedic diagnostic methods and modern medical evaluations, and designing tailored treatment plans. This role involves overseeing Panchakarma procedures, prescribing Ayurvedic formulations, supervising clinical staff, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical & Diagnostic Care:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations using traditional diagnostic techniques (Nadi Pariksha, Ashtavidha Pariksha, and Prakriti/Vikriti analysis) along with modern medical reports.
- Formulate specialized treatment plans integrating internal herbal medicine (Aushadhi), lifestyle modifications (Vihara), and dietary regimens (Ahara).
- Diagnose and treat chronic, complex, or lifestyle disorders (e.g., metabolic disorders, arthritis, digestive diseases, skin conditions, neuromuscular disorders).
- Therapy & Panchakarma Supervision:
- Design, prescribe, and oversee custom Panchakarma detox strategies (Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, Raktamokshana).
- Monitor patient vitals, clinical progress, and post-treatment protocols (Samsarjana Krama) to prevent complications.
- Team Leadership & Operational Guidance:
- Supervise junior doctors (BAMS), Panchakarma therapists, and clinical nursing staff.
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, clinical safety, and ethical medical standards.
- Conduct internal training sessions and clinical case reviews for medical personnel.
- Patient Counseling & Documentation:
- Educate patients on preventative care, wellness routines (Dinacharya and Ritucharya), and mind-body balance.
- Maintain detailed medical records, treatment histories, and clinical progress notes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) + MD / MS in Ayurveda from a recognized university/board.
- Licensure: Valid registration with the State Ayurvedic Council or National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
- Experience: 2–5+ years of post-MD clinical experience in a hospital, wellness center, or specialized clinic.
- Core Competencies: Deep knowledge of classical texts (Samhitas), proficiency in Panchakarma protocols, clinical diagnostic skills, and strong empathetic communication.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
