Overview
PENNEP is looking for a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations and join our Clients manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll coordination, employee relations, statutory compliance, performance management, and HR administration. The candidate should be well-versed in labour laws and capable of supporting a dynamic manufacturing workforce while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.
- Conduct employee induction and orientation programs for new hires.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Administer attendance, leave management, shift schedules, and employee records.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, leave records, incentives, and statutory deductions for timely payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, including PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Factory Act, CLRA, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain statutory registers, employee documentation, and records required for audits and labour inspections.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflict resolution in a fair and professional manner.
- Support performance management processes, including probation reviews, appraisals, confirmations, and employee development initiatives.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee learning and development programs.
- Prepare HR reports and MIS related to recruitment, attendance, attrition, headcount, leave, and employee performance.
- Organize employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and recognition programs to enhance employee satisfaction.
- Process employee separations, including resignation acceptance, exit interviews, full and final settlement coordination, and documentation.
- Ensure timely issuance of appointment letters, confirmation letters, warning letters, experience letters, and other HR-related documents.
- Monitor contract labour documentation and statutory compliance where applicable.
- Support internal, external, ISO, and statutory audits by maintaining accurate HR records.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and workplace discipline.
- Stay updated with changes in labour laws and HR best practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be preferred.
- 3–4 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Good understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in payroll coordination and attendance management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with HRMS/Payroll software is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- Ability to handle both blue-collar and white-collar workforce recruitment.
- Strong coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience in employee engagement, compliance, and HR operations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
