A Modular Carpenter is responsible for installing and assembling modular furniture such as modular kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, TV units, and storage systems at client locations. The role requires precision, knowledge of modular fittings, and the ability to read design drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, and cabinets at project sites.
- Read and understand interior design drawings and measurements.
- Assemble factory-made modular panels and hardware fittings.
- Handle tools like drill machines, cutters, screwdrivers, and measuring tools.
- Ensure accurate alignment and finishing during installation.
- Fix hinges, channels, handles, locks, and other hardware fittings.
- Coordinate with interior designers and project managers.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the work site.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of modular furniture installation.
- Understanding of hardware fittings (Hettich, Hafele, Ebco, etc.).
- Ability to read basic design drawings and measurements.
- Good finishing and attention to detail.
- Experience with plywood, MDF, laminates, and modular boards.
Qualification
- Minimum 8th / 10th Pass (preferred).
- Carpentry training or experience in modular furniture work.
Salary
₹15,000 – ₹35,000 per month (depending on experience) + Site Allowances.
