Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser with 6–10 years of experience in the apparel industry to manage end-to-end merchandising operations. The candidate will be responsible for buyer communication, product development, costing, sourcing, production coordination, vendor management, and timely execution of orders while ensuring quality and profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesMerchandising & Buyer Management
- Handle buyer accounts independently and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage the complete order cycle from development to shipment.
- Coordinate with buyers regarding product development, approvals, order status, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with buyers to ensure smooth execution of orders.
Product Development & Costing
- Analyze tech packs, buyer specifications, and product requirements.
- Coordinate sample development and ensure timely submissions and approvals.
- Prepare detailed costing sheets and negotiate costs with suppliers and manufacturing units.
- Ensure target margins and profitability are achieved for every order.
Production & Vendor Coordination
- Work closely with production, sourcing, quality, and planning teams.
- Monitor production timelines and ensure adherence to the critical path.
- Coordinate with fabric mills, trim suppliers, and manufacturing partners for timely material availability.
- Resolve production-related challenges to avoid delays.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure products meet buyer quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with QA teams for inspections and approvals.
- Monitor corrective actions and quality improvements during production.
Shipment & Documentation
- Ensure timely shipment of orders as per buyer requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics and documentation teams for smooth dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, costing, approvals, production status, and shipment details.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide junior merchandisers and merchandising assistants.
- Support management in process improvements and business growth initiatives.
- Ensure effective coordination between internal departments and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Technology, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in apparel merchandising, preferably with export houses, garment manufacturers, or fashion brands.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, sourcing, and production processes.
- Experience handling domestic and international buyers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and merchandising tools.

Preferred Experience:

Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
