Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly accomplished legal leader for the position of Vice President – Litigation with over 25 years of extensive experience in real estate litigation and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the organization’s entire litigation strategy, managing high-value disputes, overseeing land-related matters, and ensuring strong RERA compliance and statutory governance.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Litigation Leadership & Strategy
· Develop and lead the overall litigation strategy for the organization.
· Handle and supervise high-stake civil, commercial, and land-related disputes.
· Represent the organization before High Court, Appellate Authorities, RERA Tribunals, and other regulatory bodies.
· Oversee external counsels and ensure effective case management and risk mitigation.
2. Real Estate & Land Matters
· Provide strategic guidance on land acquisition, title disputes, redevelopment matters, and joint development agreements.
· Supervise title due diligence and ensure legal robustness of land transactions.
· Advise management on legal risks in large-scale real estate developments.
3. RERA & Regulatory Compliance
· Ensure complete compliance with RERA regulations across projects.
· Oversee compliance governance across all ongoing and upcoming projects
· Lead responses to regulatory notices, hearings, and appellate proceedings.
· Provide proactive advisory on amendments in real estate laws and compliance frameworks.
4. Liaisoning & Government Interface
· Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and statutory departments.
· Facilitate resolution of legal and compliance-related matters through strategic coordination.
5. Corporate Legal Governance
· Advise Board of Directors and senior leadership on litigation exposure and legal risk.
· Strengthen internal legal compliance systems and governance policies.
· Lead negotiation and dispute resolution strategies, including settlements and arbitration.
Candidate Profile
· LLM (Mandatory) with valid Bar Council registration
· Minimum 25 years of extensive litigation experience
· Strong exposure to real estate laws, land laws, RERA regulations, and regulatory frameworks
· Proven leadership in managing complex, high-value litigation portfolios
· Strong liaisoning capabilities with government and regulatory authorities
· Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
· Prior experience in real estate or infrastructure sector is essential
