Job Summary:
The Deputy Manager - Finance supports and drives key finance functions at the plant, focusing on agro, CAPEX, and internal controls. The role supports financial planning, performance monitoring, cost optimization, governance, compliance, and accurate reporting to support operational efficiency and business growth. The position is responsible for strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance adherence, assist in driving CAPEX discipline, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making aligned with business goals.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
· Manage and support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for overall plant operations, including manufacturing and Agro functions.
· Establish & Oversee Internal control over financial activities related to Agro operations, including farmer payments, procurement, cost tracking, and financial performance monitoring in collaboration with the Finance Controller.
· Ensure Asset Management (including Capitalisation, Depreciation, De-capitalisation, Physical verification & Asset scrappings) along with CAPEX planning, budgeting, tracking, and control for plant expansion and ongoing projects; ensure alignment with approved budgets and timelines.
· Insurance Management – Ensure company assets and risks are properly insured by timely renewal of policies. Align with Insurers & brokers for Insurance and claim management.
· Support fund management activities, including ECB & Banking Compliances.
· Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions with focus on Agro and capex.
· Payable & Expenses: Support & control Expenses, invoicing, accounts payable and overall working capital management.
· Support Debtor management including AR follow ups/Credit Limits.
· Ensure GST Compliance, including ITC, Return Filing & refunds.
· Support Direct Tax compliance including TDS, TCS & SFT.
· Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
· Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
· Develop and implement financial policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks to support operational efficiency and scalability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including plant, agro, and leadership teams to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Educational and Practical requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CA / CMA qualification preferred
· 5-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in manufacturing or plant finance.
· Strong experience in Asset & CAPEX management, financial planning & analysis, and internal controls.
· Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
· Experience in agro or supply chain finance will be an added advantage.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
· Proficiency in relevant financial systems and tools.
· Good command of English (written and verbal).

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,600,000.00 per year
