Manicurist / Pedicurist Job Description
A Manicurist/Pedicurist is a beauty professional responsible for providing nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, nail treatments, nail art, and hand and foot care. They ensure high standards of hygiene, customer satisfaction, and professional salon service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional manicure and pedicure services.
- Clean, trim, shape, buff, and polish fingernails and toenails.
- Apply gel polish, acrylic nails, nail extensions, and nail art designs.
- Remove old nail polish and artificial nails safely.
- Provide hand and foot massages and moisturizing treatments.
- Assess nail health and recommend appropriate nail care treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of tools, equipment, and workstations.
- Educate clients on proper nail and skin care.
- Schedule appointments and process customer payments.
- Promote salon services and retail nail care products.
Requirements
- Certification or training in Nail Technology, Cosmetology, or Beauty Therapy.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in manicure and pedicure services.
- Knowledge of nail care techniques, hygiene standards, and salon safety procedures.
- Experience with gel, acrylic, and nail extension applications preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in nail design.
