About the Role
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to manage and streamline the deployment, infrastructure, and operational processes of our software products. The ideal candidate will work closely with the development and architecture teams to ensure reliable, secure, scalable, and automated software deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and automate software deployment across development, staging, and production environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment environments.
- Work with development teams to troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and production issues.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Configure and manage Docker containers and containerized applications.
- Manage Kubernetes environments where required.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and resource utilization.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and backup/recovery mechanisms.
- Maintain secure access controls, secrets, certificates, and environment configurations.
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost.
- Support production releases, rollbacks, hotfixes, and incident resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and architects to improve the overall software delivery lifecycle.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems and server administration.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with scripting using Bash, Python, or similar.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, or equivalent.
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud and production environments.
Good to Have
Experience with AWS EKS / ECS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Nginx / Apache and reverse proxies.
Experience with databases and database deployment/backup processes.
Knowledge of secrets management tools such as AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, etc.
Experience with blue-green, rolling, or canary deployments.
Knowledge of high-availability and disaster-recovery architecture.
Exposure to Go, Java, Node.js, Python, or other backend technologies.
Experience working in an Agile/product development environment.
