George Forwarders is a leading freight forwarding and logistics company dedicated to providing innovative and reliable supply chain solutions. We specialise in sea freight, customs work, and transportation. We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our commercial efforts and accelerate our growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue and profit targets.
- Business Development: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert prospects into profitable, long-term customers.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, lead, and mentor the sales team. Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching to ensure the team meets its quotas.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and high-value clients, acting as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor.
- Negotiation & Pricing: Negotiate competitive freight rates, service contracts, and complex logistics agreements with clients while maintaining healthy profit margins.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations, Customs, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and flawless shipment execution.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, fluctuating freight rates, and international trade regulations to adjust sales tactics proactively.
- Reporting & CRM: Oversee the team's use microsoft team's software(eg., Salesforce). Track sales performance, manage accurate pipelines and forecasts, and present regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: * Minimum of 5–8 years of B2B sales experience specifically within the freight forwarding, NVOCC, or global logistics industry.
- At least 2–3 years in a sales management or team leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor's
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of international trade, ocean freight (FCL/LCL), air freight, customs clearance, and domestic routing.
- Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to close deals and manage a complex sales cycle.
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, analyse pricing structures, and drive Gross Profit.
- Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient with CRM software, MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), and freight management systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of quarterly/annual Revenue and Gross Profit (GP) targets.
- New client acquisition volume and quote-to-booking conversion rates.
- Retention and growth of existing key accounts.
- Sales team performance and quota attainment.
Pay: ₹15,343.21 - ₹46,156.53 per month
