Job Summary: The Export Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing international markets for the company’s confectionery portfolio (candies, chocolates, gums, toffees, etc.). The role focuses on identifying export opportunities, managing overseas distributors/importers, achieving export sales targets, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations while strengthening the company’s global presence.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. International Sales & Market Development
· Identify and develop new export markets (Middle East, Africa, South East Asia, CIS, Europe, etc.).
· Appoint, manage, and support overseas distributors, agents, and importers.
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual export sales targets in value and volume.
· Prepare country-wise sales plans, pricing strategies, and promotional support plans.
· Conduct market research on consumer preferences, competition, pricing, and regulations in target markets.
2. Customer & Distributor Management
· Maintain strong relationships with international customers, distributors, and key accounts.
· Handle export enquiries, negotiations, and finalization of contracts.
· Coordinate with customers on product specifications, packaging requirements, and private label opportunities.
· Address customer complaints, claims, and post-shipment issues effectively.
3. Order Management & Coordination
Manage end-to-end export order processing from order receipt to shipment.
Coordinate with internal teams – production, QA/QC, logistics, finance, and packaging – to ensure timely execution.
Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and export commitments.
Monitor inventory planning for export SKUs.
4. Export Documentation & Compliance
· Prepare and review export documentation: Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, BL, Insurance, etc.
· Ensure compliance with Indian export regulations and destination country requirements.
· Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines. \
· Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards (FSSAI, FDA, GCC standards, EU norms, etc.).
5. Pricing, Costing & Commercials
· Prepare export pricing considering raw material cost, freight, duties, margins, and market competitiveness
· Negotiate payment terms (LC, DP, DA, Advance, Open Credit) with customers.
· Follow up on payments and coordinate with finance for receivables.
6. Trade Shows & Brand Representation
· Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer meets (e.g., Gulfood, SIAL, Anuga, etc.)
· Support marketing initiatives for export markets including catalogs, samples, and digital communication.
· Build brand visibility and credibility in global markets.
7. Reporting & MIS
· Maintain export sales MIS, customer data, and market intelligence reports.
· Track shipment status, sales performance, and forecast demand.
· Provide regular reports to management on export growth, challenges, and opportunities.
Key Skills & Competencies
· Strong understanding of export sales operations in FMCG/confectionery or food products
· Knowledge of international trade procedures, Incoterms, and export documentation
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
· Ability to analyze markets and develop strategic sales plans
· Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and CRM tools
· Willingness to travel internationally
Educational Qualification
MBA / PGDM in International Business, Marketing, or Export Management preferred
BBA Graduate in Business Management / International Trade
Experience
· Mandatory 3–6 years of experience in export sales in confectionery business in the current job.
· Hands-on experience dealing with international distributors and export logistics
Preferred Candidate Profile
· Experience in handling multiple countries and diverse regulatory environment
· Exposure to private label or contract manufacturing exports is an added advantage

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
