Job Description: Assistant Physical Education Director

Job Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Physical Education Director to help manage, organize, and execute our college’s sports programs, fitness initiatives, and intra-/inter-collegiate athletic events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sports & Training: Assist in coaching, training, and mentoring college teams for various indoor and outdoor sports.
- Event Management: Coordinate and organize annual sports days, inter-collegiate tournaments (VTU fests), and recreational activities.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and inventory management of sports equipment and grounds.
- Student Engagement: Encourage maximum student participation in physical fitness, yoga, and healthy lifestyle initiatives across campus.
- Administrative Support: Assist the Physical Education Director with scheduling, documentation, and managing sports budgets.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed), and Ph.D. in relevant stream
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in managing physical education activities, preferably in an engineering college or higher education institution.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and active team-management capabilities.
- Technical: Basic computer and administrative skills for scheduling and maintaining records.
