Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to support and lead day-to-day network operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across enterprise infrastructure. The role spans LAN/WAN (Cisco), firewalls (Cisco & Fortinet), and WLAN (Aruba) environments, with a strong focus on operational stability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
- Oversee daily operations of enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure (Cisco)
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity
- Act as L3 escalation point for complex network incidents and outages
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents, problems, and service requests
Firewall & Security Management
- Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Firepower / ASA and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
- Implement and maintain security policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL)
- Perform firewall rule reviews, optimization, and compliance checks
Wireless Network (WLAN)
- Manage Aruba wireless infrastructure (controllers, APs, ClearPass if applicable)
- Troubleshoot wireless performance, coverage, and authentication issues
- Optimize RF design and ensure seamless connectivity
Architecture & Continuous Improvement
- Provide architectural guidance for operational enhancements
- Drive standardization, automation, and documentation of network processes
- Support network upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management
Monitoring & Tools
- Use monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, DNA Center, Aruba AirWave)
- Analyze logs, metrics, and alerts to proactively prevent issues
Collaboration
- Work closely with Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams
- Coordinate with vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba) for support and escalations
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Cisco networking (Routing & Switching)
- Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Firepower / ASA
- Fortinet FortiGate
- Aruba WLAN (controllers, APs)
- Solid understanding of:
- VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL)
- Network security best practices
- QoS, high availability, redundancy
Tools & Technologies
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools
- Familiarity with automation (Python, Ansible) is a plus
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Documentation and process-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- Cisco (CCNP/CCIE)
- Fortinet (NSE4/NSE7)
- Aruba (ACMP/ACSP)
