Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and well-connected Placement Coordinator to build strong relationships with companies and colleges, identify job opportunities for students, and ensure successful placement outcomes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for employer engagement, placement drives, student coordination, and maintaining placement records.
The Placement Coordinator will act as a bridge between students and employers, ensuring students are provided with suitable career opportunities while meeting placement targets set by the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relationship Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with HR Managers, Recruiters, Business Owners, and Hiring Managers.
- Identify potential companies for student placements.
- Generate new employer partnerships through field visits, networking, referrals, and business meetings.
- Establish long-term collaborations with companies and colleges for recruitment drives.
- Visit a minimum of 3–5 companies daily to generate placement opportunities.
- Should visit colleges regularly, engage with students professionally, and possess a strong understanding of management principles to effectively guide, counsel, and build relationships with prospective students.
Placement Activities
- Coordinate placement drives, recruitment events, and campus interviews.
- Schedule interviews between students and employers.
- Ensure smooth communication between candidates and recruiters.
- Assist employers in screening and shortlisting candidates.
- Coordinate online and offline hiring activities.
Student Support & Career Guidance
- Conduct placement orientation sessions.
- Guide students regarding interview preparation and career opportunities.
- Review resumes and recommend improvements.
- Organize mock interviews and employability training programs.
- Track student progress and placement readiness.
Employer Engagement
- Collect job requirements from companies.
- Understand hiring needs and skill requirements.
- Share suitable candidate profiles with employers.
- Follow up with companies regarding interview results and hiring status.
- Maintain strong post-placement relationships with recruiters.
Placement Database Management
- Maintain student placement records.
- Track job openings and employer databases.
- Update placement reports and recruitment status.
- Ensure accurate documentation of interviews, offers, and joining confirmations.
Events & Recruitment Drives
- Organize campus recruitment drives.
- Coordinate job fairs and career expos.
- Conduct industry interaction sessions.
- Arrange guest lectures and employer networking events.
- Plan monthly placement and career development activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Commerce, or any relevant field.
- Master's Degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Placement, Recruitment, HR, Business Development, or Student Relations.
- Freshers with excellent communication and networking skills may also apply.
