A CBSE-affiliated school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wellness Counselor to support the emotional, behavioral, social, and mental well-being of students. The candidate will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and school management to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students for emotional, academic, behavioral, and social concerns.
- Identify students requiring special guidance, intervention, or emotional support.
- Conduct life skills, mental wellness, stress management, and awareness sessions as per CBSE guidelines.
- Support students in managing examination stress, peer pressure, confidence issues, and career-related concerns.
- Coordinate with parents and teachers regarding students’ behavioral and emotional development.
- Maintain confidential counseling records and documentation.
- Promote child protection, inclusivity, and positive discipline practices within the school.
- Assist in handling sensitive cases related to bullying, anxiety, adjustment issues, and adolescent concerns.
- Organize wellness programs, workshops, and student engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Child Development, or related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Guidance & Counseling preferred.
- Experience in school counseling preferred.
