Job Summary
Job Description: ServiceNow Functional Consultant cum Presales SME
The ServiceNow Presales SME will play a key role in supporting strategic client engagements, driving solution demonstrations, and shaping winning proposals across ServiceNow offerings. This role combines deep functional and technical understanding of the ServiceNow platform with strong customer engagement and communication skills. The ideal candidate will partner with sales, delivery, and product teams to design impactful, scalable, and innovative ServiceNow solutions that align with customer business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to identify and qualify opportunities across ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, IRM, SecOps, etc.).
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer challenges, pain points, and objectives.
- Design high-level and detailed ServiceNow solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs, create solution decks, architecture diagrams, and technical write-ups.
- Advise clients on ServiceNow best practices, platform capabilities, and roadmap planning.
- Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with delivery standards.
- Engage in pricing discussions and effort estimations in partnership with delivery leaders.
- Support customer workshops, webinars, and industry events as a ServiceNow subject matter expert.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the ServiceNow ecosystem, new releases, and market trends.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–12 years of IT experience, including 4+ years working on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and integration capabilities.
- Experience in customer-facing presales, solution consulting, or technical advisory roles.
- Hands-on exposure to configuring and demonstrating ServiceNow capabilities.
- Ability to create architecture diagrams, value propositions, and cost models.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with CXO and senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting RFP/RFI processes and responding with technical documentation.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise service management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- One or more advanced ServiceNow certifications (CAD, CIS, CTA).
- Experience with AI/GenAI, process automation, or workflow optimization within ServiceNow.
- Prior experience in consulting or partner ecosystem roles.
