1. Role Objective
- The selected candidate will provide 2nd / 3rd level application support for an enterprise application based on OpenText Documentum.
The role focuses on:
- Incident and service request analysis and resolution
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Coordination with internal development and infrastructure teams
Important:
- The role does not include development or maintenance of the application. However, a basic understanding of the technologies used is beneficial in order to effectively analyze and diagnose issues.
2. Functional Requirements
2.1 Documentum Knowledge (Required)
- The candidate should have a basic understanding of the Documentum platform, including:
Experience with the user interfaces:
Understanding of core Documentum concepts such as:
- Repositories
- Objects and metadata
- Access control lists (ACL)
- Workflows
- Lifecycles
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience with the following Documentum modules would be beneficial:
- Interactive Delivery Services
- Content Transformation Services (CTS)
3. Application Technology Stack
- The application being supported is built using the following technologies.
3.1 Backend
Basic understanding of:
- Java
- SOAP web services
- REST APIs
3.2 Frontend
Basic knowledge of modern web technologies:
3.3 Integration
Some familiarity with SAP integrations is desirable:
The candidate is not expected to develop software, but should be able to:
- Understand system architecture
- Analyze logs
- Assist in troubleshooting integration and application issues
4. Infrastructure and Operating Environment
The application runs in the following environment:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Cloud infrastructure based on Amazon Web Services
Basic understanding of the following is desirable:
- Application server environments
- Logging and monitoring
- Network and interface troubleshooting
- Deployment structures
5. Typical Support Tasks
The role includes the following support activities:
- Incident analysis and resolution
- Log analysis in Documentum and application environments
Investigation of issues related to:
- User access and permissions
- Workflows
- Document processing
- System integrations
Coordination with:
- Development teams
- Infrastructure teams
- Business users
6. Methodological Skills
Candidates should have experience with:
- IT service management / ticketing systems
- Structured troubleshooting and problem analysis
- Documentation of incidents and solutions
- Communication with technical teams and end users
7. Language Skills
- Professional working proficiency in English, German is advantageous
- Ability to communicate with end users
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly with developers and infrastructure teams
8. Experience Level
Preferred profile:
- 3+ years of experience in application support
- Experience with document management systems “OpenText Documentum”
Target profile
- A technically oriented application support specialist with basic Documentum knowledge and sufficient understanding of modern Java-based web architectures, capable of supporting incident analysis and coordinating issue resolution.
