As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, AWS, event streaming, Hibernate, JPA, SQL and NoSQL DB.
Expertise in monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana etc
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of distributed systems and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
Design and implement real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka. Guide and mentor software engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices in software development.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack.
Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements as needed. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
