*Job Summary:*
The Assistant Manager – Service Department will be responsible for supporting and managing daily service operations, ensuring efficient deployment of service engineers, maintaining customer satisfaction, and achieving service performance targets. The candidate should have strong leadership abilities and technical expertise to drive the service team effectively.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Supervise and coordinate day-to-day service activities.
* Allocate service calls and monitor field service engineers' performance.
* Ensure timely closure of breakdown and preventive maintenance activities.
* Maintain effective communication with customers and address escalations promptly.
* Review service reports and ensure accurate documentation.
* Monitor service productivity, attendance, and discipline within the team.
* Coordinate with the stores department for spare parts availability.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate service engineers and technicians.
* Prepare weekly and monthly service MIS reports for management review.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance service efficiency.
*Qualification:*
* Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
* Additional management qualifications will be an advantage.
*Experience:*
* *3–6 years* of experience in service operations with *minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory/team handling role*.
* Experience in generator service, industrial equipment, or related industries is preferred.
