Role - Sales Head

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Lead the after-sales service team responsible for installation, commissioning, and breakdown maintenance of machinery at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controller-based issues on ginning, lint cleaner, spin press, conveyors, and allied equipment.
- Build and manage a structured service network, spare parts planning, and turnaround-time discipline for customer complaints.
- Develop and grow Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and paid service offerings as a business revenue stream.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary escalation point for critical service issues.
- Train and mentor field service engineers and technicians on new products, controllers, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain service documentation - job cards, breakdown reports, warranty records, and customer feedback logs.
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to feed back field issues for product improvement.
- Monitor service KPIs (response time, resolution time, customer satisfaction, AMC/service revenue) and report to management.
- Plan spare parts inventory and forecast demand in coordination with the stores/purchase function.
Preferred Candidate:
- Ginning and cotton processing machinery manufacturing or maintenance.
- Lint cleaner, spin press, or allied cotton equipment servicing.
- Industrial equipment with PLC-based controls and conveyor systems.
Skills Required:
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controller systems.
- A structured, analytical thinker who can diagnose root causes rather than just symptoms.
- Good communication skills for customer-facing and cross-functional coordination.
- Business orientation - able to identify and convert service opportunities into revenue.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
