Role Description
The Assistant Professor / Associate Professor – Mathematics role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics courses, preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, designing assessments, and evaluating student performance. The faculty member will guide students through tutorials, projects, and mentoring activities, while maintaining an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. Daily responsibilities include conducting research in mathematics or applied mathematics, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, participating in academic committees, and contributing to curriculum development. The role also entails academic advising, involvement in departmental activities, and collaboration with colleagues on institutional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Ph.D in Mathematics.
- Proven teaching abilities in higher education, including course planning, classroom instruction, and student evaluation at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Active or emerging research profile with publications, conference presentations, and willingness to pursue funded projects and collaborative research.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills to support diverse learners and foster an inclusive academic environment.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and research, including use of learning management systems, mathematical software, and online resources.
- Commitment to academic integrity, continuous professional development, and participation in departmental and university service activities.
- Prior experience in a university or college setting and familiarity with outcome-based education and modern pedagogical approaches are advantageous.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
