BAMS Doctor – Patient Care & Clinical CoordinationLocation: Chennai
Mira is a specialized center focused on gut health, colorectal disorders, anorectal diseases, and hernia care. We are looking for a dynamic and patient-focused BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) doctor to join our clinical team.
This role is ideal for a doctor who is interested in allopathic practise with with excellent communication skills who enjoys patient interaction, clinical assessment, counselling, and coordinating the patient journey from consultation to treatment and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient history taking and symptom assessment
- Record medical, surgical, medication, and co-morbidity history
- Prepare structured clinical summaries for the consulting surgeon
- Educate patients regarding investigations, treatment pathways, and follow-up plans
- Coordinate investigations including MRI, Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, UBT, and laboratory tests
- Identify and guide suitable patients for gut health and wellness programs
- Coordinate nutrition consultations and lifestyle interventions where appropriate
- Maintain patient follow-up schedules and treatment tracking systems
- Monitor patient progress and ensure timely completion of investigations and treatment plans
- Support post-procedure and post-operative follow-up communication
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Desired Candidate Profile
- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)
- Strong communication and patient counselling skills
- Confident in detailed history taking and patient interaction
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Interest in gut health, colorectal disorders, anorectal diseases, and hernia care
