Role: Senior Mechanical Draftsman
Location: Ahmedabad
Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the generation of Fabrication drawing based on 3D CAD model of the items or sketches.
- Proficiency in generation of assembly drawings which should carry all necessary instruction required for working assemblies.
- Engineering drawings to be made on standard CAD software like Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
- Drawings should be precise, error free and all standard practices to be followed.
- Carry out material selection, Preparation of BOM for the design of the FM and Non FM components.
- Compatibility of all parts should be checked in assembly having multiple parts in 3D model.
- Implementation of all comments of Design engineer and QA in the drawing.
- Coordination and Discussion with the party doing fabrication in case of doubt or complicated components.
- Make PDF of the drawing file and attach step file of 3D Model.
- Should be able to generate 3D model of simple mechanical systems independently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certificate in Mechanical Draftsman course from recognized ITI
- 3+ years of professional experience as Draftsman.
- Proficiency in using standard 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor etc)
Preferred Skill and Experience:
- Experience of drawing of packages and other items required for Satellite or payload parts.
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T.
- Experience managing CAD models and drawings.
- Experience in using 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor)
- PPT skills (equipped to present to internal/external stakeholders)
