About the Role
We are looking for a creative, responsible, and enthusiastic Social Media Executive Intern to support and manage social media projects for Government Departments, Government Institutions, and Public Sector Projects.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of social media platforms, content creation, digital communication, and social media trends. The candidate will be responsible for creating professional, informative, and engaging content related to government initiatives, schemes, campaigns, public awareness programs, events, and important announcements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media activities for government department projects.
- Plan and execute content calendars for Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Create engaging and informative social media posts, captions, creatives, and campaign content.
- Develop content around government schemes, initiatives, achievements, public awareness campaigns, events, and important announcements.
- Coordinate with the design and video team for creatives, reels, short videos, and other digital content.
- Ensure all content follows an official, professional, and public-facing communication tone.
- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns for government programs and special occasions.
- Monitor social media pages, audience engagement, comments, and basic performance metrics.
- Track relevant social media trends, hashtags, and content formats suitable for government communication.
- Coordinate with the internal team and ensure timely delivery of content.
- Prepare basic social media performance reports and insights.
- Verify facts, dates, names, and government-related information before publishing.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of major social media platforms and their content formats.
- Strong Hindi and English content-writing skills.
- Good understanding of social media trends and digital communication.
- Basic knowledge of Canva or similar design tools will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form video content.
- Good research and information-gathering skills.
- Strong attention to detail, especially while handling official and government-related information.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Candidate
- Students or freshers from Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Marketing, PR, Media Studies, or related fields.
- Candidates with prior experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing will be preferred.
- Candidates with an understanding of Government Schemes, Public Campaigns, and Government/Institutional Communication will have an added advantage.

Internship & Career Opportunity

Candidates who perform well during the internship and demonstrate the required skills, creativity, responsibility, and commitment may be considered for a Full-Time opportunity based on performance and organizational requirements.
