Key Strategist - Business Operations:
Job Summary:
The Key Strategist (Business Operations) is responsible for designing and overseeing the operational framework that supports the firm’s sales and service goals. You will focus on scaling the business through process automation, regulatory compliance, and enhancing the investor journey for both HNI and retail segments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Excellence & Scaling
- Workflow Design: Standardize end-to-end processes for client onboarding (KYC), transaction execution, and redemptions.
- Platform Management: Oversee the integration and use of platforms like BSE StAR MF, NSE NMF II, or MFU (Mutual Fund Utilities).
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with RTAs (CAMS, KFintech) and technology providers to ensure zero-error reporting.
2. Strategic Growth & Analytics
- AUM Analysis: Monitor Assets Under Management (AUM) trends, SIP persistence, and "leakage" (redemptions) to provide actionable insights to the sales team.
- Revenue Optimization: Track brokerage structures, trail commission reconciliations, and B-30 (Beyond Top 30 cities) incentive models.
- Product Mix: Strategize the shift between equity, debt, and hybrid funds based on market cycles and firm revenue goals.
3. Digital Transformation
- Paperless Initiatives: Drive the adoption of digital-first onboarding and mobile app usage for clients.
- CRM Implementation: Ensure the CRM is effectively used to track client interactions, life events (e.g., retirement, education planning), and follow-ups.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
- SEBI Regulations: Ensure all marketing materials and operations adhere to SEBI (Mutual Fund) Regulations and AMFI guidelines.
- Audit Oversight: Lead internal audits and ensure timely submission of half-yearly compliance certificates.
- Data Privacy: Safeguard sensitive investor data in compliance with Indian cybersecurity norms.
5. Client Experience Strategy
- Reporting: Design intuitive portfolio valuation statements and tax-ready reports (Capital Gains) for clients.
- Service Standards: Define Turnaround Times (TAT) for query resolution and ensure the operations team meets these benchmarks.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- SIP Retention Ratio: Percentage of SIPs continuing beyond 12–24 months.
- Operational Accuracy: Zero-error rate in transaction processing and brokerage reconciliation.
- Cost of Acquisition (CAC): Reduction in operational costs per new client onboarded.
- Digital Adoption: Percentage of total transactions processed without manual intervention.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5–10 years in Indian Wealth Management or Mutual Fund operations.
- Certifications: NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) is mandatory. PMP or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- Tech Savvy: Expert knowledge of MFD back-office software (e.g., WealthMagic, InvestWell) and Excel/BI tools.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the "Trail Commission" model and the impact of Direct vs. Regular plans on business sustainability.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
