Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Stores Manager to lead and manage all stores, inventory, and material handling activities at our manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in inventory control, warehouse operations, ERP systems, documentation, and team management within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end stores and inventory operations.
- Oversee inward and outward material movement, including receipt, issue, dispatch, returns, and inter-site transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely updates in ERP systems.
- Prepare and manage GRN, E-Way Bills, Challans, Dispatch Documents, and other store-related records.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production and maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular stock verification and inventory audits.
- Monitor and control slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, damaged, and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with production, purchase, maintenance, and other departments for efficient material planning.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock movement reports.
- Supervise stores personnel and ensure adherence to company processes and policies.
- Maintain proper storage practices, material identification, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and internal audit guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, Inventory, or Materials Management in a manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Experience in ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of GRN, E-Way Bills, Challans, Dispatch Documentation, and Stock Audits.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to lead and manage a stores team effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
