The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for young children. The role focuses on early childhood development through play-based and activity-based learning, ensuring holistic growth of students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons (Nursery/LKG/UKG). Use play-way, experiential, and activity-based teaching methods. Develop foundational skills in language, numeracy, motor skills, and social behavior.
2. Child Development & Care
Ensure emotional, social, and physical well-being of children. Observe and track each child’s growth and developmental milestones. Provide individual attention and support where needed.
3. Classroom Management
Maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly classroom. Manage student behavior with patience and positive reinforcement. Organize learning materials, toys, and activity corners.
4. Curriculum Implementation
Follow school curriculum aligned with NEP 2020 and early childhood education standards. Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids. Conduct storytelling, rhymes, art, and creative activities.
5. Parent Communication
Interact regularly with parents regarding child progress. Conduct PTMs and provide constructive feedback. Address parent concerns with empathy and professionalism.
6. Assessment & Reporting
Maintain student portfolios and progress records. Conduct informal assessments and observations. Prepare report cards and developmental feedback.
7. School Activities & Events
Participate in school events, celebrations, and annual functions. Support admission activities and school programs when required. Required Qualifications & Skills
Graduate with Diploma/Certification in Early Childhood Education (NTT/Montessori preferred).
1–3 years of experience in pre-primary teaching (freshers with training can apply).
Strong communication skills (English + local language).
Creative, energetic, and child-friendly personality.
Patience, empathy, and passion for working with young children.
