Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, usability, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
- Execute manual and automated testing to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Validate APIs, databases, and backend systems to ensure data integrity and functionality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, quality reports, and testing metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance QA processes and testing efficiency.
- Ensure software releases meet quality standards, compliance requirements, and business expectations.
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote quality assurance best practices.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation and backend testing.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent quality assurance certification.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for automation testing.
- Experience working with cloud-based applications and DevOps practices.
